Surge suppressors and PC power supplies

I've done some investigating, and it is the PC power supply and not the
surge surpressors that are causing the X-10 problems.

X-10 works flawlessly with the PC unplugged, but as soon as it is plugged
in, whether switched on or not X-10 starts failing.

Obviously unplugging the PC is not an option. Is there anything I can do to
isolate the power supply? The problem could be related to the fact that
both
the IR interface and CM11U are plugged into a socket about 2 feet away from
the PC. Short of running an extension lead across the floor there is not an
awful lot I can do about this.
