To answer the original question: no

But to spark a discussion, I would have thought that Java (ie Client-side
execution) was a bad way to do it, since the Java program would need to do
one of two things:

- access X.10 hardware on the local machine (ie there needs to _be_ such
hardware on each client.)
- make a fancy connection back to an "X.10" server

If you're going to do "make a fancy connection back", then I'd
suggest that
the easier way to implement would be by a CGI program which could babble
X.10 quite easily? This could be callable from a normal HTML page (ie no
reliance on Java, ActiveX or anything fancy), and therefore could is
client-independent.

Any one out there got any views.
