Re: iButton home control

I am going to use the Dallas silicon id (same as iButtons) in my home
security system, a very good example of its use is included in the
developers kit, this allows for a bus structure (simple wiring) and each
device on the buss has a ID a tamper would result in a missing ID where as
a trip would result in a bit change on the single bit port.

Subject:	[ukha_d] iButton home control

Good morning,

Has anyone considered using iButtons (www.ibutton.com) as a method of
controlling your home? I was thinking that you could store info within the
button which could be read by your pc and the x10 kit controlled
accordingly.

If anyone has any ideas about this I'd love to chat to them.

Thanks
Kieran
