Does this not point to very immature XP video drivers Ian. What’s the card?

Hmmmmmm...bit of a sweeping generalization there  :-)

An in-depth benchmark report I read last week put XP slightly ahead on speed on almost everything when compared to Win2K (a large selection of office and gaming benchmarks).  I was also MUCH faster at running games than WinME (which I have never liked).

I never play games on my machines these days – but I would stick to Win98SE if I was.  I now have XP Pro on two of my home machines and I have (so far) found them fast and stable.  This machine is only a P2-450 (with 512meg RAM) and it runs beautifully.

Ian.
