[KAT5] Any experience with Windows Media Center and Kat5?

I have a Windows XP Media Center and would like to view the display in
multiple rooms. Kat5 looks like a good solution (I don't need each
room to watch differnet programs, pictures, music, etc. so a Media
Center Extender is excessive - and not available in the UK :-( ).
I wondered if anyone had tried using Kat5 with XP MCE? Is it
sucessful at transmitting the Infrared as well? Can I use it to send
the picture and recieve IR from multiple rooms (Setting up multidrop
sounds very technical)?

Thanks for any advice/help,

Martin
