Did you not see the bit about Z-Wave being designed for low-power for
the purpose of having BATTERY operated devices?

And the suggestion of using an Ethernet Z-Wave interface was to put it
at the dock, with nothing in between, and let WiFi take care of the
transmission over the distance, assuming you have the ability to go
that distance with WiFi.
