Hot watere Insulation

maybe this is not the right place to ask this question.

Anyway, I would like to know what to use for insulating hot water pipe
which is embedded inside a brick/concrete wall? Is it somekind of
insulating tape? Or pouring expanding foam into the cavity between the pipe
and brick/concrete?
