Congrats on buying a new home.

Yes, the X10 has been around for a while and upgrades are getting more
and more expensive. if you would like a very inexpensive way to detect
unwanted intryders any where you want I invite you to visit the
foolowing site and check out the VA-6000 Voice Alert system. It is
great and I just installed one myself. Very easy and I love it.
