Re: Capacitor to bypass GFI outlet?
If you do try the capacitor bypass trick (and do it for both
hot and neutral), then be sure to get those special type of
capacitors that are also used inside electronics to filter
each AC wire to the chassis ground. I believe they are called
Y capacitors. They fail open. You don't want those
capacitors to fail shorted for obvious reasons.
