 has been on the hairy edge of all the snotty weather lately and the Weathe=

 combination of the above. So everyone doesn't know if they're going to be =

What gets to me the most is ------ This country started out due to somethin=
g short of a miracle. That is: that at a certain time and a certain place =
a certain group of people came together and had the will, ability, intellig=
ence, and temerity to put together a process that made us (ie mankind) take=
 the most important step in the history of all previous civilizations. That=
 is,--- the stand that it is the individuals right to be able to express th=
eir opinions and be responsible for their own well being in accordance with=
 Bill of Rights: And that a governments only responsibilities to it's peopl=
e and nation. is to protect it's citizens from foreign interference, create=
 a balance between order and liberty and only provide the things that the p=
eople cannot provide for themselves.
;;;
It is an utter shame that this country will fall by the wayside, as a faile=
d experiment, in the long term history of this world. Socialism will ultima=
tely win, as the present ill-conceived interpretation of the foundation of =
this government provides a path that allows/makes people become more and =
more dependent on handouts from the government.=20
;;;
Humans have two sides. One side will do anything to survive on their own, t=
o be self sufficient and in the process be free to do what they choose to d=
o with the proceeds of their efforts. =20
;;;
On the other side, there are those people that if they can obtain somethin=
g for nothing will eventually expect to get those things with no thought or=
 care of what effort it takes to provide them which ultimately makes them u=
nable to develop the skills necessary to sustain their own existence.
;;;
All that has to happen to sustain our existence is that each of us has to p=
roduce just a little bit more than we need.=20
;;;
Even with it's cruelty and fearsome practices, if you include the Byzantium=
 Empire, it took Rome almost 2000 years to see it's demise. Probably becaus=
e it just out grew it's ability to produce just a little bit more that it n=
eeded. Strangely enough, ( history repeating itself) another factor was a m=
ass influx of foreign refugees that drastically drained Rome's resources. B=
ut even In spite of all that, if it wasn't for a plague near the end, the d=
ark ages may never have happened or lasted so long. I fear that we'll not s=
ee 3 or 400 years.=20
(Does any of this seem familiar to anyone?)
I don't know who said it but the saying that=20
-----The only thing we seem to learn from history is that we don't learn an=
ything from history.------ is quite accurate. Fortunately I won't be here =
to see it happen.
;;;
What a shame. What a damn shame.=20
I think Ayn Rand was not a philosopher. She predicted the future.
