XP 1 trans ponders will the silence switches on the left lower disable speaker

Fire system is disabled but the speakers still hum when we cause alarms. The
system is old
not programmed very well. We disable the speaker inputs also. The blue switch
box on the lower left corner of the xp1 has several dip switches.
