Re: Kidde "Badger" Universal Control Head
Greetings Les,
That's the rub Les, the system is armed and to remove the face cover I'd
have to take off the manual trip handle..
Not being familiar with the "workings" of this unit I'd just as soon not
take the face off..
(I've seen the results of folks messing) LOL
You may have notice when viewing those Goggle searches, this unit or one
like it had the ability to be triggered electronically.
That being the case I was wondering if this unit is the one for which those
wire are for..(electronic trigger)
If you find out anything else let me know..
Thanks
RTS

RTS,
I just googled "Badger 60 Universal Control Head" and found a lot of
pictures and install of the unit. But nothing with wires. Are you sure of
the model number?? Or is this a add on component to the control valve??
My suggestion would be to remove the cover and find the micro switch and see
what wire is connected to what terminal. Normally the terminal ID is on the
Micro cover at the terminal. Remove the Micro and manipulate as needed to
determine what is going on.
Good Luck
Les

Looking for a little help with wire output..
Been tasked with the hookup of a Badger 60 Universal Control Head (Cook
Hood Suppression system)
to a local Fire Alarm Panel..
(alarm when the hood system is activated)
UCH has 6 wires showing, Yellow, Yellow/stripe, Blue, Blue/stripe, Brown
and Brown/stripe..
No 2 wires of the set has a continuity short..
Does this unit support connection of a dry contact closure?
If so, which color pair of wires would accomplish this connection?
This is a fairly new installation but the installers didn't leave any paper
work behind for the owners records..
I've been unable to get any help from the manufacturer or their website..
Many Thanks for those that can help with this problem..
RTS
