Pepper spay is temporary.

The oven spray has lye in it. Wont kill them but they sure will wish
they were dead.

This is nothing new. Easy Off oven spray was used in a burglary in my
area, many many years ago at a large estate, to incapacitate a couple
of guard Dobermans.  They finished them off with a bow and arrow.
Obviously well planned job.
