He made a lot of mistakes and Sarah Palin was one of them.  It's unfortunate
in one sense, as McCain is IMO a very good person -- a true patriot -- at
heart.  I do believe that Obama is the better of the two but of all the
Republicans out there, McCain was the closest to an acceptable alternative.
