I'm no great fan of ADT, but other than two people lost their lives its
impossible to tell what happened from that report.

1/ There would be normally be a delay before the phone line loss was
reported by the cell unit and as Jacque says the loss of phone line wouldn't
normally trigger the audibles.
2/ Contrary to what the article says,it wouldn't be normal to call the
police in the event of a loss of a phone line.
3/ Glass breaks? one should probably have activated if the system was armed.

5/ Motions wouldn't normally be active if armed "on premises"

Its a very sad story though
