Re: Bass Burglar Alarms - Sitemap Page 8 of 474

Is there someone posted something that upset him (more than usual) to get
him started on this? Maybe it is a cheap way to for him to get and keep an
archive of his web site?

I don't know anything about running an on line business, but having that
much to pick from seems odd to me. A lot of the stuff he has is stuff only a
pro would have need of, and even then you'd need only need to order one of
those items. Seems like I would have actual pre-built systems instead of a
link to just a list of manufacturers(names that can't mean much to a DIY).
With the way many manufacturers change SKUs so often, just the headache of
keeping that many pages (especially ones that generate such few orders)
would be too much. Seems like it already is for Bass.
For example, he has HID listed as HID Corp (Hughes). I guess he never heard
of Assa Abloy, the folks that have actually owned HID for some time? No
special link to help people reorder cards? (a profit maker for regular
dealers). And despite a 30% price increase scheduled for April for regular
prox cards (no warning for customers to stock up now and save), still no
mention of iClass readers? (they've only been out for about 5 years now)
They are less expensive, have better security, and offer more features (like
logical access). Shame on Bass! Instead of posting here he should be paying
more attention to his bill of fare. I guess he really doesn't care that much
about access control. No Edge readers, and no Multclass readers, each having
strengths for a DIY market? For the DIY guy, why not feature something
really easy in access control like like that and maybe add Bosch AEC.
And some links are almost empty. Biometrics gets you one link to Bioscrypt.
IR makes a far more popular hand geometry reader, it's not used much for
traditional access control, but it's used a lot for T&A. Seems like he'd
know that and have that one among the 474 pages.
Instead of crowing here about what he knows, he should be showing it at his
web site. It's sure looking weak in the few spots I checked.
