For any Verint guys out there, here is a good one. After spending about a
week trying to get Nextiva 5.0 SP1 to install on a Windows Server 2003 R2
platform I discover that Nextiva 5.0 SP1 won't run on Windows 2003 Server R2
only the earlier Windows 2003 Server. Of course finding that out from a
level 3 tech meant having to flatten the OS a couple of times to be certain
the OS installation wasn't corrupt (to satisfy the level 1 & 2 techs). Don't
you just love clear instructions? It clearly doesn't mention anything about
this in the installation manuals. It is times like these when instead of
video over a phone line, remote hands that can reach around the neck and
squeeze vigorously could have real value.
