entrance door camera?

Hi,

If i buy a good quality outdoor security camera with RCA type cables and
plugs and and install it by my well lighted front entrance door and run the
wires inside can I just hook it up to a little portable tv that has RCA
jacks and see the picture? I don't need to record images, just see what's
outside my front door.
