Jeeze Bob, you were told exactly what to do (including calling Bass)
in Cracker's reply. The fact that you did not take the initiative to
read the manual a little or ask a few follow-up questions to actually
*understand* what you are doing is your problem.

Everything about X-10 is in the manual. Look at page 5-9 see the
middle where it reads:

 "Output Type 0 = delete; 1 = relay on 4204/4229 module; 2 = Powerline
Carrier device (X-10)"

Then right below it:

"Unit Number (prompt appears if X-10 is selected)
01-16 = predefined address
*] to continue
Enter the unit code (set at the device) and press [*].
The system returns to the Output Number prompt."

No application note is needed - you were given all the information
needed to proceed on 11/29. If all you want is hand-holding and a
series of button presses most guys here (including me) are going to
tell you to get bent. Don't come back in here whining and crying
because no one took you by the hand and walked you through this. You
did not even provide enough detail about the application for someone
to do so.
