Using a voice dialer really is the way to go if you want to use the system
to call your cell phone, however most alarms will generate a trouble
condition in the event the system cannot communicate with a central station
or if there is no phone line connected to the built in digital communicator.
RLB neglected to tell you that you will almost certainly still need to
reprogram or have the system reprogrammed to disable the digital
communicator and phone line monitor if you want to avoid the system being in
a perpetual trouble condition.
