While I prefer hardwired installations I can't make a blanket statement
saying hardwired is always a better choice than wireless.
I've run across situations where the wire was destroyed by rodents, and
the only solution was using wireless devices.
I've seen it in restaurants, bodegas, supermarkets, adjoining
businesses, and one nasty lady's filth pit she called home. Makes you
wonder how crappy the food must be if the wire is the tastiest thing
the rodents can find to snack on.
