Re: Wireless Alarms

I was investigating false alarms in a million dollar house a few y ears
back..up in the attic...3 INCHES of rat-shit...all sorts of wires were
chewed upon, including electric to the air handlers...nasty and dangerous.
Patched what we could see, told the homeowner about the critter problem, he
said he'd take care of it.

3 months later...same thing...but only now there was more rat shit...he
never did anything. This was right about the time of that hansa virus thing
from ratshit...I told he we weren't going to fix it this time until he had
the real problem taken care of and CLEANED up.

Man, I couldn't live with them things scurrying around above my ceiling...no
freekin way.

And the were BIG too...the tech I was with saw one and came flying outta
there and wouldn't go back up (chicken shit).

| While I prefer hardwired installations I can't make a blanket statement
| saying hardwired is always a better choice than wireless.
| I've run across situations where the wire was destroyed by rodents, and
| the only solution was using wireless devices.
| I've seen it in restaurants, bodegas, supermarkets, adjoining
| businesses, and one nasty lady's filth pit she called home. Makes you
| wonder how crappy the food must be if the wire is the tastiest thing
| the rodents can find to snack on.
