Re: Jim & Bob

So Bass at one time was much worse in his own eyes than you seem to think he
is now. I my opinion we should all be gald that he is at least generating
tax revenue instead of consuming it. I don't recall seeing anything in the
post that says he claims he is perfect or that you are required to believe
the way he does. He has the right to his own political views and religious
views. Although the purpose of your post seems to be to point out some
ironies in his behavior and that his posting is hypocritical at its core,
there are other views out there. It seems another of your points is that he
has also used his freedoms to make his own mistakes and make his own
enemies, where he has been very sucessful in getting plenty in this NG
apparently. On the other hand, perhaps someone other than you might have
gotten something from the post you didn't and has a completely different
view of it. I know some friends that are active in prison ministries.
Although that is not my cup of tea, my friends seem to enjoy it, even when
so much of their time is taken away by the project. My friends report that
many times inmates lives show a change for what most would call the better,
some very dramatic ones. I don't know about anyone else but I don't consider
my own life to be without need of improvement in many areas. I am always
glad to see change for the better in my own life and anyone else's.
