Another feature of those services is that they list the most
frequently clicked search result at the top of their listings on the
first page.    The more clicks a website gets, the higher it gets
ranked and the closer to the first page it gets.

If Bass's website would always show up on or near the top of the first
page when someone searched for an alarm system, his sales will
increase.   He will become so busy filling orders, he will not have as
much time to spend on this newsgroup.    So that will help to
accomplish the goal of getting him to stop posting  also.
