I see you also post to rec.aviation. Ask those folks in there about
this guy Bass. He was the ultimate rec.aviation troll. They used to
call him BoBo. He was a student pilot who posted as if he were Orville
Wright himself.

As for the DIY alarm, unless you really know how to run a wire without
going staple gun crazy then hire an alarm company to do it. It's really
not worth it on the DIY side. You save a few hundred bucks but lose
precious time reading manuals and trying to figure out how to install
the system, when for the few extra bucks someone who knows what they
are doing can have your system up and running within hours.
Tell me what State you are in and I'll help you find a decent company.
