No body's perfect.

Yeah... well... Robert has that effect on people. Every once in a
while I just "lost it". It still makes me angry to see him doing the
things he does, but I don't let it get to me anymore. I realize he's
just an "installer wannabbee" with a huge chip on his shoulder. If you
look at him that way, you tend more towards "pity" than "anger" so that
when he "lashes out" (flails around?), and you manage to keep your head,
and respond civilly, you make him look even more pathetic. Example:
FIRETEK. Robert posted a number of flames against him and how did he
respond? Robert posted a bunch of useless HTML into the Group and how
did he respond?? Granted, Robert knows even less about FIRETEK than he
knows about most of us, but that just made Robert look even worse. Why
do you think he posted a number of his "PR" messages within the "Great
deal, great product" thread??

Right. So, you obviously prefer the "sledgehammer" which makes you look
worse than Robert (thats an observation, not a flame).

Actually, I think Robert would be escorted from the room by Hotel Security.

Unfortunately, yes. I do know that.

We're all "reasonable men", Jim. Those that aren't sort of tend to
ostracize themselves.

I'm not trying to "tell" anyone here what to do. I'm merely making a
"reasonable suggestion". Nothing you or Mike have been doing is working
and all we wind up with is a lot of noise and no signal.

I can't "please" everyone. I'm not here to "please" anyone. I'm here
for the camaraderie and to share and gain knowledge. This isn't a
"sham" and I have no intention of "going back" to what I was doing before.

Nope. No one can. As for being a "corrupt and degenerate son of a
bitch", I see a pretty pathetic individual that's been forced to sell
his house and has moved back in with his parents. His son is helping
him answer the phone, etc. Things are obviously not going as well for
Robert as he tells us.

Sure. Act adult, dammit!!

Heh...

There's "ethics" and "decency". Lead by example.

Robert can be "dealt with" in other ways that don't involve more "venom
and vitriol".

Maybe not right away.

So does yours (again, not a flame, just an observation). Robert uses
what you do against you as well.

I happen to love horses and "mucking out". Gives you a real sense of
satisfaction to know the shit your shoveling is going to be doing
something useful (like helping my wife's roses).

Sure. And the Group will "stay as it is". I can live with that. I
asked a question of Robert a while back:

"If you were to drop dead of a heart attack this afternoon, how will you
be remembered?" (or words to that effect).

>

Nope. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not "ignoring him". He's
"ignoring" me.

Awww shucks... Back atcha, man!! :-)
