Re: Powering off networx alarm security command panel?



I apologize for the rude response you received from what appears to be a
legitimate question from a novice.  Your request is to simply power the unit
down.  Quite easy.
1.  Open the alarm panel (in the closet)
2.  Locate the terminals marked "AC " below the telephone connection and
below the terminal marked "ground".  Remove one of the wires from under the
terminal, not both, and put a piece of electrical tape on it to prevent it
from shorting anything else.
3.  Locate the battery.  It is big and looks somewhat like a small car
battery.  Remove one lead, not both and your job is done.  The alarm is dead
in the water.

If  you can see where the panel's transformer is, you can unplug that from
the wall and avoid having to remove wires from the terminals themselves
(step 2).
