Re: DSC 5501 -> 5500 upgrade?



The 5500 makes it very easy to program...   I have both the 5501 and a
5500, and it has other advantages also.  For example, if you put a
sensor on your Garage door, you can easily see from the panel that the
garage is still open (you will need to set the panel to scroll open
zones...)  Otherwise, all you will see is a number.  If you end up with
a bunch of zones, it makes it very easy to see what zone is the
problem.  Additionally, you might want to check out the forum from the
store you bought your stuff from.  Here you will be lucky to get an
answer, and luckier if they don't insult you.
