Brinks upside down motion detector?

I had a women call me to redo a door contact on her front door.  She
had a brinks system and they were going to charge her $100 to replace
a broken contact!  (This is not the big city around here)  I replaced
it for $35 and she was happy.  I noticed a motion detector about 4
feet off the ground in the corner.  At first I laughed my ass off,
then relized they turn it upside down when they installed it because
she had a cat.  It's hard for me to believe that a big national
company still does not use pet proof motion detectors.  I have
hundereds installed and they work great.
