To overcome the problem you mentioned above, you can run 4 conductor cable
to all of your contacts... Wire 1 and 2 are connected to the contact, 3 and
4 are shorted together at the contact... Wire 1 is connected to the + zone
terminal, wire 3 is connected to the - zone terminal, the EOLR is connected
to (in the control panel) 2 and 4... The circuit configuration is commonly
known as "Double Circuit", using this method will allow the installer to
provide partial supervision to the loop at each contact with the EOLR
terminated in the control......... Regards, Russ

i used to burying them on residential at the eol but not anymore...only on
commercial.
