No objection to linux but to be a workable solution this needs to run
other apps in addition to xplhal in particular xplmedianet.

The problem as always is the stability of the windows platform and
it's susceptibility to attack, a CD or other non hard disk boot option
should remove a lot of this.

This is where we could do with xplhal on linux...then a slug
(nslu2-linux.org) would have
been ideal for this.
