Perhaps the hub reply should indicate how long it has been since it had a
hbeat from each
client - then the collector can display the app as potentially dead, if
appropriate.

It may be easier to obtain icons for apps than for xpl itself - each app
author will just
create their own without any need to confer with the rest of the group.
Decision by
committee is sloooooow.
