Wiki
The xPL Wiki is here at last!
http://wiki.xplproject.org.uk/
First, let's be clear that this is a work in progress and that we as a
community need to
build this up. There has been some initial work to give it some structure,
but that will
evolve. The FAQ should be extended and some of the questions answered
properly. The HowTo
is missing an awful lot - I've converted the xPL Hal HowTo, but nothing
else.
It would be great if the wiki could be *the* place for people to go to for
information
about xPL and to download stuff. This would help to make things more
cohesive than they
are now.
I'd like as many people as possible to find some time to add something from
their own xPL
experience to the wiki. But the docs should not just come from programmers
- users have a
responsibility here too. Accordingly, I'd like to suggest some basic rules
with regard to
the wiki:
1. You will search the wiki first and read the FAQ before asking questions.
2. Those who ask the questions, update the wiki when they get the answers.
3. Those who complain about the documentation, update the wiki to make it
better.
4. The right place to ask questions about xPL is on this mailing list
With the most important probably being numbers 2 and 3.
xPL LOGO COMPETITION
------------------------------
The main page on the wiki has a link to a page about the logo competition.
Please upload
your logos here so we can all see the logos on one page! I've started this
off with the
jpegs from the first entrant - Steve Nye. All other people, please add your
logos to the
wiki!
Note that the wiki only supports png, jpg, jpeg and gif image formats.
Thanks,
Paul
