Howdy All,

The xPL4Java framework/container V1.2a is now available. The only
differences are that it now longer will auto-start a hub and uses the new
hub detection strategy discussed on this list. It also provides methods
for
determining if the hub has been detected or not yet.

xPL4Linux is a C framework I've had for quite a while. It is mostly
complete (95% -- little left on the configuration stuff) and includes some
useful tools. It should be easily portable to any unix-y environment. It
has also been updated to support the new hub detection strategy and also no
longer supports an "auto-start" hub.

xPL4Linux contains a very stable, well tested xPL_Hub implementation. You
can download it in source (as part of the xPL4Linux xPLLib source) or as a
pre-compiled hub. This hub now has a supervisory thread that takes care of
launching the hub and monitoring it's health. If the hub dies, the
supervisory thread immediately starts a new hub instance and logs it to the
system logs.

This is all available at my xPL website
