Indeed - a set of trusted applications on the receiving PC would seem a
fairly basic step.

We have been pretty clear in the past about xPL not being a secure protocol
- it's a broadcast protocol with no authentication mechanism! It can't *be*
secure!

That being said, that's inside the xPL environment - and executing
arbitrary
code is outside of that.

Time for that XML file of trusted apps, methinks.
