RE: Quick schema queries

That's exactly the sort of feedback I'm looking for :D

Can you add that change straight to the wiki Gerry?

Ian.

Howdy,

On this item:

Other than this restriction, the value of a name/value pair may contain any
ASCII character. - Developers are urged however to consider platform
portability when constructing messages, and should pay special attention
that characters with structural meaning such as "{",
"}", "-" and "." are
not misinterpreted.
----

I'd offer that I think that the line "any ASCII character" should
be
clarified a bit. As I recall, all characters after the = and before the
CHR(10) must be printable characters (i.e. no control characters). Since
xPL has been a text-based protocol (not binary), I would think that this
should be made explicit (if everyone agrees) with a line like

"... may contain any printable ASCII characters between the range of
32 and
126 (decimal)".

Thoughts?
