If you are wanting to log messages over a period of time - e.g. more
than a few hours, then I'd strongly recommend using an xPL logger, like
the one Tom mentions.

The monitor that is part of xPLHal Manager is mainly intended to give
you realtime monitoring, and is not really meant for long-term
operation.
The reason for this is that each and every message that is received is
held in memory - this enables fast filtering and navigation through the
received messages, but it does mean that over a long period of time
you'll end up using a lot of memory!
