RE: xPL Front End

I've had a play. I've given up on the MVP - I just can't be bothered
converting DVDs to MPGs any more, and besides, I've decided I want to keep
the surround sound. I've set up a PC with the aim of turning it into a
home
theatre PC that will live under the TV. It's only had occasional use so
far
(I'm still configuring), but things seem to be working well - Media Portal
supports streaming of DVD files over the network (without having to mount
an
ISO), MPGs, Music, Weather and has PVR functions if you have a video
capture
card. It runs full screen, and I'm controlling it using a Microsoft media
center remote control. The only problem I have with it at the moment is
that it takes too long to change channels, although I think this will be
addressed soon.
It is also expandable with plug-ins written in C#. I haven't had much time
recently, but I do plan to look into the possibility of writing an xPL
plug-in that could enable me top control everything via the TV.
