The biggest example by far is www.wikipedia.org - an online
encyclopedia built by its users.
Making Wiki pages can be a bit of a pain - the embedded formatting
commands are arcane in the extreme - but it does seem to be the best
available way to enable a group of people to build and refine a set
of documents
