Another thing -

I was going to save the client list each time the hub receives a
heartbeat message.  This would mean the list would be up to date if
the hub crashed.  However, it would also mean that my server's C:
drive would never get to spin down, so I'm minded not to save until
the application exits.

See any real problem with this approach?
