Problems with XplRioNet and mysql

Hi,

I'm having a bit of a problem getting xplrionet to talk to mysql. I've
decided to move the db from the access based file to my mysql server. xql
seems to be fine, but xplrionet isn't happy. They are both using the same
connection string

I know that xplrionet is reading the db, since I've imported the database
data and can see it on the web interface, it's just that if I run a purge
and scan the logfile says it failed to scan my music folders, and then sits
at "Generating pronto Artist CSF for Rio" the only way to fix the
problem is to reboot (you can't restart the service). The web interface
does happily work still at this time though.

I've checked the permissions for the db user and they are fine..

anyone got any ideas?

Andy
