Changes in next xPLRioNet release

Hi all,

Just a heads up on changes in the next release:

A) Tivo support for MVP

This allows recordings on the Tivo to be selected and played on the MVP
full
screen

B) ID3 'unicode' tags fixed

The scanner now seems to correctly handle id3 tags that are in unicode
format (thanks to richard for spotting the problem/cause)

C) Random mode fixed

Random mode is now fixed, or at least it's a lot more random

D) Video transcoding for MVP

Xplrionet will now try to launch a transcoder for non mpg movies (or mpg's
as well if you want to resize on the fly etc). Although this is
specifically
written/tested for use with mencoder it should work with any correctly
formatted entry in transcode.xml. I havent found suitable 'all round'
settings yet for wmv1/2 (mencoder doesn't do WMV3 btw) but hopefully
someone
can sort out some good settings (and also build settings for avi/divx/dvd
etc)

I do have code (not active in this release) for support of streaming from
the videolan client, but as I can't get videolan to work properly on my
development pc this is currently on hold.

Hope to release the new version at the weekend

Regards
Tony
