Hi Guys,
I have gone a step further.
In the xPLMonitor I can now see Misterhouse heartbeats and I can send a
message to my OSD device but it does not receive it, yet I can see the
misterhouse command in the xPL monitor and it looks exactly the same as a
command that I generate with my own xPL send message (using the monitor
send
message).
It appears that the OSD command coming from Misterhouse and being displayed
in the monitor is not being transferred via the tonyt devcom to my device.
Thoughts?
Regards,
Neil Wrightson.

Neil - Misterhouse is pretty much a rogue application as far as xpl goes
- they do *not* properly support xPL, and will not interoperate with
pretty much any other xPL environment.
The issue with xplhal and misterhouse comes about because misterhouse
makes no attempt to implement the "hub" protocol - it simply
tries to
bind to the port, and to hell with everyone else.
Until one of the misterhouse developers actually takes the task of
fixing their xPL support (we told them about the issues way back in
early 2004) there really isn't much chance of Misterhouse interacting
with anything else in the xPL world!
Frank - is the IR environment running with scripts through xplhal, or is
it using Tony's xplrionet?
Ian.

Hi Frank,
I have my AVR OSD device operating and I want to send some meaning full
info to it, to that end I'm trying to get Misterhouse to talk to xPL via
port
3865 but Misterhouse is telling me that port 3865 is not available.
I'm running xplHal and Misterhouse on the same Windows XP SP2 box.
With regard to your below post, what issues did you have with XP? I
don't have the firewall turned on against the network connection or via
the firewall in the Control Panel area.
Regards,
Neil Wrightson.
