To slightly complicate matters the config for support modules (because by
definition things like tftp, nfs, bootp are potentially usable by multiple
devices) would be included in the devices own config.xml rather than having
their own

Though something like dhcp would have it's own config as it's independent
of
anything else

This would prevent the need to install multiple copies of a support module
for different devices?
