USB UIRT_FirM

Hi All
Firstly thanks to John for updating the xpl uirt to allow ir tx
zoning on the uirt...This feature will (hopefully) allow me with some mods
to FirM send ir signal to any of FirMs 8 zones without the need of having a
FirM Serial connected.......The idea is to use zone 1 of the uirt as a zone
selector (so sends 1 of 8 signals) ....zone 2 will send the required ir to
the intended device......
An ir receiver will be located inside FirM housing and will detect the
signal from zone 1 of the uirt and setup the correct tx zone.......1 of 8

So to send a signal to a FirM Zone in a Determinator requires, firstly to
send the correct ir signal for the appropriate FirM zone out of zone 1 of
the uirt....then a short pause is required 100msec or so ...then send the
required signal ie vol up out to zone 2 of the uirt and Firm will direct it
to the correct zone.........

I have already used this concept with CBUS 2 channel ir tx unit in
conjunction with Homevision...This allows me to control any kit in any of
FirM,s zones using the CBUS Touch Panel...

More Soon

Frank
