tts installation problem

Installed the TTS service.
It appears in HAL under Awaiting Configuration.
But if I double-click it, an error pops up:
"418 No vendor information available for specified device"

I have downloaded the plug-in & restarted HAL to no avail.

The TTS service is running on another pc than the one that runs HAL.

Ideas ?
