Ahh - you will want to talk to Gerry Duprey (he wrote the xpl4linux
framework too) and John Bent (one of the authors of xPLHal Manager) about
this one.
There has been some discussion (all positive) about producing an XML
version
of the xPL schema files that can be used automatically from inside
applications. It's envisioned as an enhancement/improvement on the current
plugin system.
If you are willing and able to help with this effort, I'm sure we could get
somehting sorted out.
