Hi all,

Have rewritten the code and it now gives full remote control of the slave
device and shows full status screen including track time :-) This will work
across devices as the master will use it's own status screen to show the
slave status...

When taking control, the master matches the display to the current slave
display (rather than defaulting to a particular point)

You can also power off/on remotely (if the master has a soft power button)

Control works from both master and slave

Also, it should all self-repair in the event of an unexpected failure of
either (or both) master/client

As commands are passed as string commands (rather than raw ir) it should be
possible to use a pronto pointed at one device to still work with a totally
different slave.

The only fly in the ointment is the use of the 'alpha' keys to narrow down
menu screens to just A's, B's etc. Since the remote controls have different
letter combinations on the numbers...

The only big issue I haven't addressed is the screen size, as I can't do
this until I have another client implemented with a different size screen
to
see what can be done (I'm thinking that they negotiate to the largest
screen
size, and the device with the smaller screen gets adjusted in some way).

Regards
Tony
