I'm beginning to think that relating the stuttering at 320kbps to lack of
processing power on the rio _might_ be a red herring.

I've found that if I kill the development version of xplrionet while the
rio
is still playing, it continues playing for some seconds with a regular
stutter with _any_ kbps. Can't account for this, so this might suggest a
timing issue instead.

Will investigate this possibility.
