Yep, if using a hub, I guess you only need to allow loopback/local IPs, as
all your traffic should be coming from the hub.
But if not using a hub, you need some way of letting the user specify which
IPs the messages can come from.

I guess the only problem with the way things currently work is that of
security.
If you leave your dynamic port range (50,000+) open to the Internet, then
there is a risk of someone being able to send xPL messages to one of your
apps.
